Ive gotten really into pirating and making dvds recently. I wanted something physical again that takes time & rewards patience. I wanna talk about my process for making them :D
I start at the hunting stage which honestly takes the longest. So im using qBitTorrent with a handful of search plugins: bit search, pirate bay, torrentdownload, yts. I trawl through results looking for the most pretencious artsy movies that barely anyone else seems to want anymore. Half the time its dead torrents, the other half is just 1 seeder keeping the thing alive. I download a fuck tonne of them. I'll complain about it but i kinda like the slow download times, makes u a lot more invested in the file.
So once I the video file lands, I make it into a .iso file. This is so it actually behaves like a dvd. I break out DevedeNG for this. It's pretty simple and dated but its fun if ur into shit like that. Lets you decide disk structure & make ur own menu screen too. I mostly just throw bladee on the menu cuz it makes me laugh lmao.
Once I get the .iso file, I just burn it to disk using my laptop. I've got a bunch of old disks and cases too so I could make up a nice little collection.
I made a cover template in Gimp to mass spam them, let me turn my brain off for a while. Only took me a couple hours to make about 30 of them.
Pirating isn't stealing if paying for it isn't owning it. Keep seeding.
